HR Manager – German & English

DESCRIPTION

Your role…

  • Manage and ensure the smooth on-boarding of our new colleagues
  • Help our employees with German bureaucracy so that they get settled in Berlin
  • Maintain personnel files and digital files, including new hires, resignations, and any changes
  • Conduct and document probation and performance reviews
  • Administer benefits and leaves, and other processes
  • Be a part of social team activities such as team building and corporate events
  • Manage information requests to Health Institutes, Aliens Department, Labor Office and Embassies
  • Perform various other duties as assigned

Your profile…

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in Human Resources/Talent Management
  • Strong in-depth knowledge and understanding of German employment law
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Experience handling terminations, and other employee relations issues
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills in German at a mother tongue level and proficient in English
  • Self-starter who can work independently
  • Reliable and flexible, with a professional yet friendly demeanor
  • Flexibility in responsibilities – willing to jump in to help on any project on the team
  • Knowledge of German employment law and best practices, either from studies or through experience
