Job Description:

As the Senior Software Engineer, you will design, implement, maintain, and extend one or more major systems in the game or engine. You will collaborate with the design team and the art team on all aspects of the game and keep them involved with all systems and features as they are developed. You will also write technical designs and documents on a regular basis, and assist in the selection and evaluation of external technologies. Additionally, you will:
  • Participate with the recruitment and selection of staff for your own team
  • Participate in the team Scrum
  • Liaise with external service providers as required
  • Participate in code reviews on a regular basis, both as a reviewer and reviewee
  • Help the team establish and maintain good coding standards and engineering practices
  • Mentor/lead other engineers as needed
What You’ll Need to be Successful:
  • More than 3 years of gaming experience in an engineering role
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Experience working on at least 2 shipped PC or console titles, ideally with strong online components
  • C/C++/C# experience at a very high level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage, plan, and organize time
  • Ability to estimate work effort
  • Windows-based PC programming experience
  • Good interpersonal and motivational skills
Great Additional Skills:
  • Experience with graphics, scripting, API design, DirectX, game AIs, database design, client/server architecture, networking protocols, and language design
  • Familiarity with the Marvel IP
  • MMOPRG experience
