  • Comply with EHS Policies, Programs and Procedures as per IAT/ADVETI EHSMS-General Framework and take responsibility for any aspect of EHS that they are involved in
  • Maintain and enforce school district rules, regulations, and policies for the safety and security of students, staff, and property
  • Supervise students in the buildings and grounds (e.g. classrooms, restrooms, grounds, hallways, library, cafeteria parking lots, etc.) during the day and monitor student attendance and discipline
  • Assist visitors with campus orientation and directions and inform unauthorized visitors to leave institute
  • Monitor and assist with extra-curricular activities including athletic events, and other events which may occur after work hours
  • Ensure the safety of participants at any event and security of facilities
  • Develop and implement strategies in emergency situations including development and implementation of a fire evacuation plan
  • Monitor the arrival and departure of buses
  • Observe students during passing periods between classes; assure timely return of students to classes
  • Address any incidents of bullying and refer students who violate rules and laws to the appropriate administrator for action
  • Report to the appropriate administrators safety hazards and violations of campus policies, i.e., truancy, smoking, drug abuse, etc.
  • Approach all strangers who are on campus without authorized business or purpose and notify the administration of trespassers
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student information
  • Deal with immediate emergency medical situations in line with First Aid training and campus policy
  • Monitor and ensure a safe working environment
  • Supervise the work of security staff during normal working hours and on evenings and weekends and liaise with contract Security Company
  • Organize and attend the Parents’ events including parents – teachers’ conferences and parent informational evenings
  • Ensure the safety and security of physical assets on the campus
  • Attend staff meetings as requested
  • Assist with other departmental tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor
  • Attend professional development and training required by the School, and actively seek opportunities to increase knowledge, experience and skills held
  • Maintain a clear distinction between personal values and professional ethics
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary system of the institute
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the community to support the learning environment
  • Uphold the Institute’s code of conduct and all school policies
