CREATIVE SERVICES MANAGER

Job Summary

As our Creative Services Manager, you will lead a team that creates consumer packaging, point of purchase displays, product content and sales collateral for the Abrasives platform of products. You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to find unique and impactful solutions that aid consumer decision-making and enhance brand affinity. This will involve understanding business and customer goals, conducting research when necessary, reviewing competitive and industry best-practices and implementing a cohesive and proactive approach with your team members to ensure timely results. To be successful in this role you must be able to manage multiple types of projects simultaneously while inspiring others to be both at their creative and productive best.

This role is located at Ali Industries in Fairborn, OH, headquarters of Rust-Oleum’s Abrasives Platform. The platform currently consists of a wide range of sanding solutions for power tool and hand sanding applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and inspire a team of creatives across multiple disciplines.
  • Oversee and occasionally design for all touchpoints.
  • Provide art direction on all creative projects.
  • Develop and maintain design standards to drive brand consistency and proactive evolution.
  • Manage communication and execution of partner standards and updates.
  • Manage inventories for department equipment & prototyping supplies.
  • Manage organization of design and content files to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
  • Lead and produce video and photography content for internal and external use.
  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing and Sales teams to develop meaningful packaging, signage, and collateral.
  • Work closely with the Rust-Oleum E-Commerce team to ensure our product content is up to date on our customer’s websites.
  • Manage projects and relationships with external vendors.
  • Provide pre-production proofing for all mediums to ensure correct information and consistency.
  • Print, Assemble, Package, and send prototypes as needed
  • Oversee Label and POP kit Inventory control and production
  • Develop and evaluate direct and indirect reports.

Requirements

  • Design, Marketing, or corresponding degree. Four-year preferred.
  • 7+ years of design and/or management experience – Consumer packaged goods industry experience a plus.
  • Cross-functional team experience
    • Design, Digital, Social and Content Media expertise preferred
  • Strong ability to maximize Adobe Creative Suite
  • Team collaborator who excels at communication
  • Travel is approximately 3% annually for internal meetings, trade shows, etc.
