Yurika is inviting expressions of interest from qualified civil engineers with relevant industry experience to work on current and upcoming wind farm projects within Queensland as a Senior Civil Project Engineer, on a fixed term contract of up to 24 months duration.

These positions will lead the delivery of civil engineering activities associated with the construction of electrical infrastructure for major windfarm projects in Queensland.

These positions will preferably be based in Brisbane, Rockhampton, Toowoomba or Townsville, however during construction phase will be fulltime site-based positions with the incumbents working on a 10/4 fortnightly roster.

We are seeking Bachelor degree-qualified Civil Engineers with current Registration as a Professional Engineer in Queensland, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the utilities, mining or renewable energy industries. Candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home on a site-based roster during construction phase as this is an essential requirement for the project. Candidates will also have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients and suppliers extensively to understand their requirements and apply expert engineering capability in making decisions that ensure projects are delivered in terms of quality, cost and time in an optimized and fit for purpose manner;
  • Strong Quality Assurance experience, developing content and moving into a site-based delivery role to assure Yurika’s products meet the highest standards.

The position has been evaluated as Professional & Managerial Grade Three (PM3). Remuneration will range from $166,387 to $186,458 per annum, plus superannuation. The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicants’ knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in these positions. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Energy Queensland Union Collective Agreement 2020.
