Job Title: Finance Manager

Reports to: CEO

The Finance Manager will display excellent leadership skills to develop and manage the finance of FAST.

Purpose:

€65 The Salary for this post is €65,000 pro-rated ( 3 days)

Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST)

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager for 3 days per week to oversee the finances of the organisation. This is a fantastic role for an accountant seeking a greater work life balance in a very flexible and supportive organisation. We currently use a modern cloud-based accounting package QuickBooks Online. The Finance Manager role comes with the following benefits:

The role of Finance Manager will include, but is not limited to the following duties;

Income

1. Hold the finance relationship with our key funders and ensure timely receipt of all funding and chasing of any outstanding funding.

2. Participate with the management team in the annual Service Level Agreement process with our State Funders to establish funding levels each year.

3. Support smaller Grant application processes.

Management Accounts

1. Oversee the day-to-day work of accounts colleague who performs the following work; a. Payroll (Weekly on Thesaurus and 12 employees at present) & Payroll Journal b. Monthly Employee Expense Claims c. Weekly Supplier Payments (low volume) d. Pension Contribution Returns e. ROS (Revenue Online Services)

2. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis and rectify any descrepancies in a timely fashion. a. Pension Control b. Bank accounts c. PAYE\PRSI\Net Wages Control d. Fixed Assets e. Accruals\Prepayments

3. Issue Monthly Management Accounts to management team for discussion at Management

Team Meetings and influence decision making around

Budgeting

1. In conjunction with the Management Team and Audit and Finance Group (AFG), prepare the annual budget for Board Approval.

2. Attend AFG group meeting every 8 weeks. Complete and present the AFG Finance Pack detailing Income & Expenditure and Variance analysis to date.

Funder Returns

1. Complete the Annual Financial Monitoring Return (AFMR) for the HSE each year. Complete any other funding return requests from our funders\grantors as requested.

Staff Support

1. Provide consistent and excellent leadership skills to support staff in the delivery of financial tasks within their roles.

2. To oversee and support accounts colleague and admin personnel’s day to day financial tasks.
3. Any other appropriate duties requested by the CEO.

Ad-hoc

1. Develop a culture of continuous process improvement within Finance.
2. Review and update Financial Policies and Procedures as needed for Board Approval.
3. Manage all Bank Account Mandate updates (Bank of Ireland)

Candidate requirements

  • Ideally a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) with some post-qualification experience, will consider candidate from all backgrounds. Alternatively, a strong Accounts

Technician with experience in the not-for profit sector.

  • Experience in using Quickbooks Online or similar Cloud Based Accounts Package.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate and interest and enthusiasm to work in a community based project helping some of the most marginalised individuals in our society.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 21 per week

Salary: €65,000.00 per year
