Mechanical Engineer

Advanced Architectural Products, makers of GreenGirt CMH (composite metal hybrid) and SMARTci, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team to design, develop, build, and test materials for commercial construction projects. Engineering candidates should have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

We specialize in continuous insulation by providing one of a kind Composite Metal Hybrid products and system that meets the most recent ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC energy code requirements for commercial building envelopes. A2P provides sustainable, net-zero, carbon neutral and thermally efficient products with the GreenGirt CMH and SMARTci systems for the construction industry.

Requirements and responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and properties
  • Experience with design, develop, build, and test analysis of building construction
  • Experience with creativity, knowledge, and analytical tools
  • Familiarity with building codes, ASCE 7 preferred
  • Design of fiberglass and resin
  • Testing of products
  • Product Validations
  • Modifications to existing designs
  • Working directly with the President and the Engineering Team

Experience:

  • Bachelors degree Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and SOLIDWORKS preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently
  • Intuitive and critical thinking
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Being an effective problem solver
  • Effectively communicate with customers, builders, and management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
