What you’ll be doing

As a Project Engineer, you will manage the end to end delivery of small to medium sized engineering projects. This will include initial scoping of the need, competitively tendering the work, contractor procurement, site set up and inductions, and health and safety inspections, through to commissioning, training and handover to the operations teams. You will have advice and support from our subject matter experts, experienced colleagues, and health and safety advisors in the delivery of your projects.

  • £40,205 to £54,395 depending on skills and experience
  • 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • £4,500 car allowance & paid company mileage
  • You will be based at Cricklewood with some home working, but must be willing to travel within a 60 mile radius to sites within the Thames Water region

 

What you should bring to the role

  • A full UK driving Licence and have your own transport
  • A formal qualification in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering
  • An awareness of CDM 2015 or hold a NEBOSH, IOSH or SMSTS qualification
  • Previous project management experience and use of project management tools
  • A good understanding of engineering concepts and project delivery techniques
  • Commercially minded and have confidence procuring qualified contractors
  • Able to work unsupervised, be self-motivated and driven, and use your own initiative
