Job Description

Complete job description
Are you one of our future construction coordinator, engineer or constructor trainees in Greater Copenhagen? Then you have the opportunity to try your hand at contract and project management, as well as in-house production. You will get hands-on experience on an exciting project with the various phases of our projects and will become familiar with management, finances and offers. In short, you will get to experience what it means both to be in the office and out in production.

As an intern at NCC Forsyning og anlage, you will experience a varied everyday life where you will get to know the construction industry on several fronts. Among other things, you will work with traffic management in urban areas with heavy traffic, coordination with the client, municipalities and third parties, time planning, security, quality assurance and become part of the daily production. You will learn to manage projects and keep momentum.

You will also be involved in the department’s meetings and activities and will have a close and instructive collaboration with both white-collar workers and craftsmen. You will form an important part of our strong team composed of experienced and younger employees, and you will be given responsibility, but also sparring where you need it.

We are looking for an intern for autumn 2023:

Renovation of pavements, cycle paths and roads.

The project concerns the restoration of one of Copenhagen municipality’s many roads. NCC is responsible for everything in the contract as a contractor, including project review, construction meetings, authority processing, traffic diversions and everything during export. On the export part, we break up existing pavements, build and establish new pavements, cycle paths and roadways.
Finance is a large part of the construction work; you will therefore also participate in finance meetings and help to think about optimizations in the implementation. As an intern on the project, you will get around all the phases of the project and will therefore become familiar with management in the field.

The start of your career

It is important to us that your internship is both challenging and exciting. When you start, we therefore prepare your learning plan together, and we are happy to listen to your ideas and wishes.

“I received a warm welcome and my colleagues are super helpful. They want to learn from them, and they are more than willing to involve me in meetings and conversations. There are no stupid questions here, and you can participate in almost anything. I think that’s super cool”

Mikkel, former intern at NCC.

It is our experience that during your internship you will learn a lot about yourself and being an entrepreneur and thus find out where in the industry you feel most at home. And who knows… maybe you will continue your employment as a student assistant after the end of your internship and later a permanent job – at least we often see that.

“As an intern at NCC in Civil Engineering, there are always a lot of exciting tasks to solve. At NCC you are not “just the next new intern”, but you will quickly experience that you are seen as one of the employees, and therefore you will quickly get into the good community that exists.”

Jonathan, former intern at NCC

We are looking for you who:

Passionate about digitization in construction work
is ready to throw you into a steep learning curve and collaborate with many different professions
has a good amount of impact.
