The Role
Donorbox is looking for a UX/UI Product Designer who is a self-starter, and who will work with our agile product team. The ideal candidate for this position is a designer who can take ownership of new feature launches. You’ll be using your skills and creativity each day to bring new ideas to life.
You will propose solutions to improve the overall user experience. You will collaborate with developers and PMs to make sure features ship seamlessly and with world class quality.
You will be responsible for the end UX/UI design quality, how easily the users can perform their tasks, find elements, and in the end, have a great experience. We expect quality UX/UI knowledge, and someone who is constantly learning. You should know the visual design and interaction rules by heart and produce top-quality designs.
One part of the UX/UI position will be user testing where you will be able to detect the root causes of user behavior, propose UX/UI improvements, and share findings with the rest of the team.
We are a fully remote and agile team. You will join a capable design team and work alongside a global team of marketers, managers, and developers across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- We want you to take our customer’s experience to the next level. You’ll be in charge of how supporters from all over the world impact the nonprofits that use Donorbox. Your decisions will have a major impact on how these organizations raise funds, both online through our donation forms, and offline through our native apps. You’ll also be in charge of guiding these nonprofits to make the best usage of the platform, by helping them to build delightful campaigns and forms easily.
- You will develop beautiful UI/UX artifacts to communicate your vision. We expect you to use Figma to create interaction prototypes, wireframes, user flows & storyboards that drive our teams to grasp and provide rich and consistent experiences to our users.
- We want you to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. You will partner and work closely with Product Managers, UX Writers, and Developers to understand all the complex challenges our users face, and turn those problems into simple, intuitive solutions. You will own the solution from start-to-finish, ensuring all your teammates share your vision.
- You’ll get to understand the needs and wants of our users. By performing user research and user testing sessions, you should be able to detect the root causes of user behavior and share results with the team, and you should back up your findings with data, as well as industry trends and competitor research.
- You are capable of producing high-quality UI that improves our design system. You’ll collaborate with other designers to build, maintain and evolve a high-quality design system that helps the company to build new products with ease, by reusing existing elements that were well designed for all our needs.
Requirements and Qualifications
You should have at least 5 years of experience working as a Product or UX Designer for consumer-focused product companies, and now looking not only for a new challenge but also to help to make an impact in the world by helping supporters and nonprofits achieve more. - A strong understanding of user experience and everything related to it. User interface design, design thinking, user-centered design, agile, lean, value measurement, customer outcomes, and emotive design. Coupled with proficiency in information architecture, multi-step and cross-platform flows, with care to states, errors, successes, and dead-ends.
- We are looking for someone who has experience with checkouts and point of sales. As the owner of the fundraising experience, we expect you to bring a background that can leverage ideas and experiments that can make it easier for donors to support nonprofits with ease and in the best way possible. Experience with Site Builders and Accessibility are strong differentiators.
- Fluency in all things Figma. We are looking for someone who knows how to do deep work with Figma. You need to master components, prototype creation, UI kit styles, and workflows.
- Self-starter attitude that takes pride in excellent craftsmanship.
