Who will you be working with?
Our Client is one of Australia’s largest wholesale distributors and exporters of fresh fruit and vegetables. They are a leader in the area of agronomy innovation and sustainable water usage. They are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician for their innovative site based in central Queensland (Emerald) to play a key role in ensuring productivity.

What will you be doing?
You will be the trusted leader of maintenance and electrical tasks at an incredible horticultural facility. This is a new position on site and so you will lead the maintenance program, trouble-shooting, problem solving and fault-finding. As a seasonal operation, there is a peak period for several months with a quieter off-peak period that provide varying workloads. Some days will be longer than others in peak season with much more relaxed days during off-peak season.
If this role stands out to you but you’re only available for a 12 month contract – we would still love to hear from you. A formal electrical qualification is required and a dual trade would be highly desired, but not essential. Other duties include:
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
- Drive continuous improvement with identifying and evaluating design and process issues, root cause analysis
- Collaborate with key production staff relating to down-time
- Ensure machines and equipment are in a safe and effective working conditions
- Design, implement and maintain control programs on the semi-autonomous system
What do you need?
We are seeking a truly passionate maintenance professional who enjoys being an integral part of the operational team. Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility is desirable as you will be working on processing equipment, chain conveyors and belts, PLC’s, VSD’s and SCADA.
If you’ve not had exposure to FMCG or manufacturing but have a strong trade background and an interest to take on a leading maintenance role, we encourage you to apply!

- Electrical qualification ticket
- Confidence in making decisions
- Good attention to detail and quality
- An eagerness to interact with staff to trouble-shoot breakdowns
- Can-do attitude and a passion for electrical maintenance
