Senior Welder

– Education level: Preferably 2 years technical (welding) course or high school.

– Experience: 2 years of experience in welding in industrial sector.

– Specific knowledge, skill, ability, and requirements Ability to read blue prints. Must qualify VME welder qualification test. Able to withstand burns, eyestrain, feet stain, heat fatigue and back strain.
– Experience in working with multicultural environment is desired.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES-:

· Repairs, alters and/or fabricates a large variety of metal tools, equipment, machinery, furnishings, fixtures and structural components by the use of oxygen-acetylene, heli-arc and/or electro arc-welding equipment and techniques; sharpens and tempers tools.

· Uses MIG welder to perform tack and bead welds.

· Weld commonly used metals and alloys of various shapes, sizes, thickness, etc.

· Select proper MIG wire, regulates current and time.

· Use hand and power tools to grind, bevel, and fit metals together and remove slag.

· Welds in vertical horizontal and overhead position
