As an Aerospace Engineer on our engineering team, you’ll evaluate new technologies, perform risk assessments, and improve the design of aerospace systems. Your experience in technology transition planning is key and makes you an integral part of delivering a client-focused solution. In this role, you’ll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by evaluating, improving, and designing leading-edge aerospace technology by working with a large community of aerospace engineers across the firm, and collaborate with Air Force clients to deliver world-class solutions to evaluate new technologies for improving designs, and coordinate testing of aerospace systems. You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with aerospace design, analysis or fabrication from the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of aircraft integration of avionics and communication systems
  • Ability to use MATLAB
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, systems, or electrical engineering

 

Nice If You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with aerospace structural design, analysis, and fabrication from the aerospace industry
  • Experience with computational fluid dynamics analysis or analysis of fluid-structural interactions
  • Knowledge of finite element methods and aerostructural life cycle analysis tools, including SolidWorks, PATRAN and NASTRAN, ABAQUS, or ANSYS
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and design techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of USAF Air Worthiness, technical design review, and test and evaluation (T&E) processes
  • Knowledge of aircraft fabrication and assembly processes
  • Knowledge of mechanical design program cost and material estimation
  • Knowledge of leading a small team or subcontractor as a project or program manager
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, systems, or electrical engineering

 

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
