Civil Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a development engineer to join a growing municipal engineering consulting firm, working for great Clients, on a variety of interesting site plan and subdivision projects within the GTA.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a Senior Engineer, you will:

• Prepare preliminary and final grading and servicing designs for site plans and subdivisions
• coordinate projects throughout the approval process
• Assist in preparation of functional servicing and stormwater management reports in support of land development projects
• Liaise with Clients, governing agencies, project teams, and project stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or educational equivalent)
• Registered as (or working towards) a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of Ontario
• 3 to 5 years of relevant design experience working on local land development projects
• Experienced in preparation of civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D software
• Good understanding of design standards (municipal, regional, provincial, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
