  • Based in Communications and Marketing
  • Two (2) full-time fixed term contracts until March 2024
  • Salary Range: $67,739 – $76,139 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Roles

We have an opportunity for two Communications and Marketing Officers to join the Communications and Marketing (CMK) team. The two positions are responsible for supporting several marketing functions, including event delivery, producing print and other communications material and web copy updates, as well as providing marketing administration.

To succeed in this position, you’ll be a highly organised marketer with a broad skill set, as well as outstanding written communication and project management skills. You’ll enjoy a fast-paced work environment and the opportunity to work on a range of different activities.

One position will be based at City East campus, with a key focus on supporting delivery of marketing initiatives for UniSA Sport. The other position will be based at the City or Mawson Lakes campus and will support delivery of the annual work plans for the University and its Academic Units.

About UniSA’s Communications and Marketing

The Communications and Marketing Unit’s (CMK) role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance the understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake a range of marketing communications activity, including development of content and promotional material, sourcing photography, editing material and coordinating approvals
  • Maintain a library of photography and other digital resources for supporting print and advertising projects focussing on the Academic Unit
  • Provide support and advice and formulate content for social media advertising and content distribution and provide assistance to the Digital team in monitoring of the university wide social media accounts
  • Provide accurate responses and guidance to prospective students in a promotional setting (such as Open Days and campus tours)
  • Provide information and support to key stakeholders regarding event management and student recruitment initiative

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High level organisation and administrative skills including experience in working to tight deadlines and the capacity to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
  • High level written and verbal communication skills and a strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated previous experience in the production of marketing publications and advertising for a wide range of audiences and/or event management
  • Experience in using graphic design publishing software packages and knowledge of the print production process
