The Role
The Contracts Specialist at DSV is fully knowledgeable of all legal, business, financial, and long-term implications of key contracts. She/he will be responsible for reviewing contracts and identifying potential conflicts of interest to advise on most significant contracts negotiations or modifications, negotiation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary contact for all business contracts and acts as legal resource for DSV to provide advice on legal contract matters
- Reviews, drafts, and negotiates all kind of legal documents and contracts, for commercial agreements
- Responsible for updating and maintenance of all sales and other commercial contracts into systems available for this purpose.
- Provides accurate and timely counsel to stakeholders in a variety of legal topics, i.e., business partnerships, labor law, commercial agreements, international and local contracts.
- Deals with complex matters involving multiple stakeholders and highlights to the management business risks and recommend alternate options to mitigate them
- Uses prior experiences to effectively negotiate the most favor terms and conditions with prospective and current customers, business partners and clients while achieving company objectives.
- Participates in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.).
- Keeps all stake holders up to date on contracts progress and highlights risks on all contract administration and negotiation issues.
- Prepares business / sales contracts based on approved proposals after acquiring approval from finance on rates.
- Prepares and acquires the proper SOP (standard operating process) from business units.
- Co-ordinates with the legal department for review and approval of business / sales contracts.

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and the handling of business transactions including negotiation, drafting, and review of contracts and other agreements associated with business activities
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills, Structured and organized.
- Extrovert personality with strong relationship building capabilities
