Job description CSA Estimator, Copenhagen
DPR Construction Nordics is looking for a CSA (Civil, Structural, and Architectural) quote calculator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction for our projects in the Nordics. As a CSA calculator, you will work from our Nordic office in Copenhagen with occasional travel to our construction sites and offices in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

As a CSA Estimator you will prepare estimates for engineering projects and work closely with the regional management team and our European Preconstruction team. CSA Estimators at DPR typically work on multiple projects, leading the effort to estimate the CSA trades and coordinating the interfaces with our mechanical, electrical and plumbing teams.

Our calculators primarily work on negotiated projects for privately owned business customers within our core markets “Advanced tech” and “Life Science”. You will work closely with architects, engineers, builders and subcontractors.
General and specific areas of responsibility:
CSA estimation and budgeting at concept level
Handling the project’s estimate from the first estimate and all the way to the formalization of subcontracts
Ensuring that we look beyond the information that has been provided and ask the right questions in working towards providing a full assessment of project costs
Establish and develop business relationships with new and existing customers
Collaborate with and passionately stand behind our customers, as we strengthen and inform them throughout the project
Building relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
To be a technical expert in civil, structural and architectural estimating and proactively deliver innovative solutions to complex issues
Presentation of estimates/budgets/alternatives to owners/consultants/partners
Lead the communication with CSA’s subcontractors and have a finger on the pulse of the market
Management of or participation in processes for purchasing subcontractors
Make recommendations to the client on the allocation of subcontractors and negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors.

Qualifications:
Education as civil engineer, architect or similar education is preferred
Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills
Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems
Speaks English and one or more of the Nordic languages
Good skills in Microsoft Office
A strong work ethic and a solution-oriented attitude
Knowledge from estimating projects within “Advanced tech” and “Life Science” is preferred
Experience with software for calculating construction projects is preferred
Experience with building information models preferred
Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates at concept level and cost studies from schematic design or feasibility studies
Ability to produce detailed estimates and, as the design evolves, produce estimate deviation summaries and value optimization analyzes throughout the process
Team player and ability to work in a highly collaborative working environment
