Truck Delivery Drivers
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver customer orders to stores
- Check and verify load against invoices via scanning device
- Manually count and verify cigarette cartons.
- Scan product utilizing scanning technology.
- Unload product utilizing pull out ramp.
- Unload cooler and freezer products and totes thru stairs.
- Pick up return items.
- Secure empty pallets and totes in the truck.
- Maintain the cleanliness of your truck.
- Collection of funds possible
- Drives truck to destination in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adheres to all state and federal D.O.T. rules and regulations.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Completes post/pre-trip inspections daily.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Cheerful and helpful attitude towards customers
- Work independently
- Good communication and people skills
- Good personal organizational skills
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Dependable
- Good attendance/punctual is a must
- Able to work Tuesday through Friday
- Willing to work long hours
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Trustworthy – Sometimes you will be collecting cash payments
- Ability to lift over 75lbs
- This is a very physically demanding job
- Ability to pass the exam for the medical certificate
- Must be willing and able to work overtime when asked
Working Conditions:
- Physical ability to load, unload and maneuver loaded hand trucks/carts over a variety of inclines and surfaces.
- Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, and wind.
