The Digital Marketing Coordinator, under the direction of the Senior Marketing Coordinator, assists the Communications team in the planning, development and implementation of strategically aligned marketing initiatives to support the Zoo’s commercial activities. This includes, but is not limited to, visitation, memberships, fundraising, retail, sponsorship, events, functions, weddings, birthday parties, animal experiences and education programs as well as contributing to strengthening the Zoo’s brand.
Utilising business intelligence and innovative ideas, the Digital Marketing Coordinator recommends, develops, implements and measures digital marketing initiatives to grow each business area. The position’s responsibilities also include brand management and promoting the Zoo’s role in the community, as well as developing the image of the Zoo’s position as a conservation organisation.
The role has a particular focus on digital marketing and includes responsibility for direct communications via eDMs, content marketing, social media, digital marketing planning and measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of the Zoo’s digital activities. It is also responsible for producing design briefs in conjunction with the Graphics Design Officers. The role demonstrates a continuous improvement philosophy by seeking to optimise marketing servicing, processes and outcomes.
The successful applicant will be required to possess or obtain a current and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencement.
