Registered Nurse 3 – Nurse Supervisor
The Nurse Supervisors that we are looking for will demonstrate compassionate patient care, a strong work ethic, and consistently display good judgment to provide supportive leadership on the ward they will supervise. The key to your success will be your ability to communicate with clarity to the team you supervise and your interactions with staff.
We are excited to have RNs join our team at Eastern State Hospital in leadership roles. ESH Nurse Supervisors serve in a role that provides services that empower people, instill hope, and support self-discovery and independence.
Hiring Bonus
$2,000 ($500 following successful completion of new employee orientation; $500 after probation period; $1,000 after 1 year following probation period). Incentive is prorated for part-time employment. Incentive applies to RN’s new to state employment. Minimum 6-month break in service for returning employees to qualify for incentive.

Some of what you’ll do:
- Supervise, educate, coach, mentor nursing staff, and foster a caring environment that respects our patients’ dignity
- Lead and manage nursing care on your ward and shift, including administering medications and treatments
- Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to maintain a high quality of nursing care for people being treated for behavioral health conditions
- Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team that plans, delivers, and evaluates all patient care provided
- Respond in a lead role in case of a health emergency and therapeutically intervene to de-escalate patients’ behavior
Who should apply?
A Registered Nurse with a valid Washington State RN license or the ability to obtain one by the start of employment AND 2 years of professional nursing experience.
