This is a technical position that requires a high level of communication and project management skills. Job Description: Engineering Lead

Duties and responsibilities

· Lead the engineering of projects from quotation through delivery.

· Mentor Engineering and CAD teams throughout day-to-day interactions.

· Meet with clients to determine project specifications requirements, and performance standards.

· Work on complete machine design projects from concept to testing and install.

· Be actively engaged with leaderships decisions relating to engineering services provided.

· Launch and manage timelines and quality expectations with internal team.

· Design automated equipment and fixtures.

· Take lead on both long and short-term engineering design projects.

· Design layouts, assemblies, and detail drawings using SolidWorks.

· Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.

· Review and understand customer’s project specifications.

· Communicate design concerns and status to both customers and Perception Engineering Team in a timely manner.

· Perform engineering calculations and check and review calculations by others

· Manage and maintain project schedules.

· Manage multiple projects at once in an organized and detailed manner.

· Report out on project status and ensure quality and timeline measures are hit.

· Travel to customer locations as required for on-site support, design reviews and consultations.

· Maintain a view of the big picture while making sure smaller details are not missed.

Requirements

· Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

· Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal

· Proven experience in Machine Design and Automation

· Excitement for contributing to the growth of a small business

· Proficient in SolidWorks

Nice to have

· 5-7 years of industry experience with Machine Design and Automation

· 2-3 years of Project Management experience

· 1-2 Years of Experience Leading Others

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
