You will play a key role in preserving and strengthening Envato’s technical culture that is built on excellence and taking technical ownership and responsibility, while acting as a trusted advisor to non-technical colleagues.
You will establish and maintain great stakeholder relationships, provide coaching and mentoring to engineers reporting to you, oversee delivery initiatives, monitor operational performance including budgets for infrastructure and tools, manage technical risks and contribute to company wide technical discussions and initiatives. You will pragmatically balance short and long term product considerations, with a both a commercial and technical lens. Importantly, you will role model leadership excellence to help us continue strengthening our culture and keeping Envato a great place to work.
What we’re looking for
- Technical background experience as you may be required to jump into the code and be hands on from time to time
- Cross functional team experience and confidence working with product managers, designers and SEO
- Substantial people management, team leadership and mentoring experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability
- Ability to drive execution by organising team work, setting goals, and holding the team accountable, driving a performance culture
- Ability to increase the team’s effectiveness without compromising quality
- A proven track record in driving great new functionality to market, working cross functionally and in an agile environment
