Laser Access LLC services our military/defense, aerospace, medical, automotive, heavy trucks and machine equipment industries. We specialize in close tolerance fabrications supported by well-experienced engineering and quality teams, including a top of the line CMM inspection room.
Our sales are growing and we have scheduled projects through 2026 and well beyond. With this growth, we are looking for a Fabrication Engineer to develop and monitor processes in the flat laser cut, brake press forming, and welding areas.
This is a hands-on role with a presence on the production floor, as well as in the office to help streamline projects from Engineering to Production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze job orders, drawings, prints, specifications, and design data for all assigned projects.
- Develop and maintain consistent, clear standard operating procedures.
- Effectively communicate to operators how the machines, fixture and part processes are to be used.
- Work with production to recognize potential project problems quickly and seek advice from the Project Manager.
- Document design changes and update work instructions as required.
- Work collaboratively with production to schedule and coordinate machine activities to meet customer schedules/deadlines.
- Review product design and implement labor/quality improvements.
- Assist with nesting design, creating jobs and supporting the production floor.
- Assist team members in other engineering projects as required.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred.
- Technical knowledge and experience reading blueprints, drawings, and GD&T
- 2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, design, or similar environment
- Microsoft Office Suite experience, particularly Excel
- Design experience using Solid Works preferred.
- Experience with brake press forming and development
- Experience with Sigmanest or similar software a plus
- Experience with fabrication and welding of large metal or tubular frames a plus.
- Experience with JobBoss, or related, ERP software a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
