We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer looking for their next step in their professional development to join Roche Diagnostics, the world’s leading health supplier in Diagnostics equipment. We invite applications from field service engineers with experience of fault diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical/fluidic/electronics systems, or from someone with the right skills and attitude wanting to move into a field service position. Ideally you will have started your career troubleshooting at component level and have progressively built up your expertise to systems level in any of these industries (biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, automation, aerospace but to name a few).

This exciting position sits within the Technical Services group which mission is to provide technical support for varied electrical/mechanical medical equipment. With exciting plans for future equipment launches in the pipeline and strong R&D investment in the product portfolio, you will be coming in to the Technical support team at an opportune time to support significant growth within key business accounts across your territory and the UK.

As part of the UK Engineering Support team, you will report to a regional Technical Regional Manager and provide preventative, corrective, modification, installation & out of hours support to customers on specified products ranging from large to medium sized equipment. You will monitor and act appropriately upon key metrics to provide an effective and efficient service in key NHS/University laboratories and private service providers. You will provide on-site and office-based customer training.

We would welcome applicants from in and around the M25. You will on occasions be expected to travel throughout the UK.

 

Your profile

You are an ambitious and consistent, qualified engineer – with good previous service experience of working with high-value capital equipment. You will be qualified to an HNC/HND level or above in electronics. A relevant science subject would also be desirable.

You will possess a confident working approach. Customer focused, you will be capable of representing the company in a positive manner at client sites that enhances the reputation and professionalism of Roche Diagnostics Limited. You will excel in building productive customer relationships in a complex matrix environment.
