General Manager (Engineering Consultancy & Project Management)

We are currently in need of a General Manager to work for our client in Abu Dhabi.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations; assign weekly performance goals and ensure their completion, and accomplish goals. Guides departmental managers in resolving obstacles so that goals can be met. Providing the direct managers with the required information and reports from the various departments on a regular basis, in order to monitor work progress.
• Responsible for the management of design, construction, logistics, procurement, and budgets to ensure the efficiency of time, quality and cost of assigned projects, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
• Evaluation of Conceptual; Report for Proposal of new projects. Manage project execution plans after thorough discussion, selection of sites, project evaluation in terms of outlays and budget attached.
• Coordination with major clients, contractors, team of the engineers from inception to project execution.
• Manage the Project Management team and ensure the projects are executed in accordance to the agreed timeframes and budgets.
• Responsible for dealing with project activities, right from conceptualization to execution, involving finalization of technical specifications, scheduling, manpower planning, procurement, vendor development, progress monitoring, site management, etc.
• Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
• Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
• Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
• Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
• Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved

Required skills and qualifications:

• Proven success in a managerial role
• Strong decision-making ability
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
• Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
• Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
• Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 10-15 Years’ experience in Engineering Consultancy here in UAE
• Experience in Project Management Company
