Salary between $73,000-$84,000 (dependant on experience) + super

To continue to deliver for our community, we are seeking a graduate Engineer to join our team.
This role will provide you the opportunity to:
Support Council’s Coordinator Roads and Drainage Engineering to investigate, inspect and collect data for asset management purposes.
Undertake design of various infrastructure projects in accordance with best practice principles and standards.
Prepare project briefs, cost estimates and specifications supporting survey, geotechnical investigation, design and construction appropriate for tendering.
Undertake administration duties associated with project management
Assist in project management for minor projects such as road rehabilitation, drainage, pedestrian bridges, footpath construction, bus stop installation, assessment of NHVR permits (National Heavy Vehicle Regulator) and traffic management measures such as traffic counters.
Assist in project documentation tasks such as Gantt charts and specification preparation for minor projects.
Assist with customer enquiries, requests and complaints from external customers and internal staff, providing suitable action to resolve issues.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Completed tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
Experience in working in a team environment and delivering a high quality customer service experience
The ability to work with limited supervision and meet deadlines
Understanding of Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and design practices
Understanding of Occupational Health Safety and Risk Management principles (preferably in a civil engineering environment)
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities and skills
A high level of computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn how to operate and apply computer applications. Demonstrated experience in using “CAD” based software.
Well-developed problem solving skills.
