Job Summary
Recruitment Services is a strong contributor to Eastern Health’s strategic and operational plans with a priority on a sustainable workforce. The HR Consultant works within a team environment and provides a full continuum of internal/external recruitment services to stakeholders in the public and throughout the organization. This involves sourcing talent, screening, interviewing and selecting top candidates, on-boarding, development of service contracts, incentives and strategies for difficult to recruit positions. Also, the position provides advice on training requirements and career opportunities, acts as an ambassador at career fairs, and participates/contributes to lean, quality and improvement processes/policies
Job Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Commerce with a specialization in Human Resource Management is required.
CPHR certification is an asset.
Experience
Minimum of two years of recruitment experience in a unionized environment is required.
Experience in the interpretation and administration of collective agreements is required.

Ability to work independently and to use discretion and good judgment in decision making.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a team environment.
