Information Technology Engineer

IMMEDIATE OPENING – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER

Oneida Research Services, Inc. is a growing company looking for a skilled individual in information technology to help support the ever-growing world of IT. The right candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent troubleshooting skills. The position will report to the IT Manager.

The position will require the following abilities and duties:

• Meets with the IT Manager or Senior IT Engineer to discuss system needs.
• At the direction of IT Manager installs computer hardware configurations.
• Installs software and networking systems.
• Troubleshoots network and software issues.
• Installs high-level software security systems in collaboration with Cybersecurity Engineer.
• Trains staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
• Fixes hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Responds to general IT requests.
• Ensures security software is kept up to date.
• Files monthly reports for the IT Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science preferred. Associate’s Degree and at least 2 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
