Wastech Controls & Engineering is a world-class process system integrator, offering full-service design and fabrication with specialization in industrial and laboratory acid waste neutralization, corrosive chemical handling, and industrial process automation. We specialize in providing state of the art highly automated systems that promote hazardous waste reduction, as well as chemical and water recovery and reuse. As a Mechanical Engineer you will design skid-mounted process systems. Support customer design projects along with Wastech standardized products.
We are looking for a skilled individual that is excited to be a part of changing how the world views our most critical resource – Water.
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Prepare Bills of Materials and select equipment, fitting, and hardware per customer requirements while maintaining overall budget
- Prepare detailed general arrangement drawings for customer review and approval
- Prepare detailed assembly, structural, and fabrication drawings for release to shop and/or outside sub-contractors per internal engineering as well as nationally recognized standards
- Attend engineering meetings to provide status updates on projects
- Provide support on mechanical design matters
- Assist with O&M manual preparation
- Assist with in-house Factory Acceptance Testing
- Work with suppliers on purchased components
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS WILL INCLUDE:
- Above average working experience with Autodesk Inventory and AutoCAD
- Experience with pump and piping systems
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Structural design calculations and weld symbology’s
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL POSSESS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Three to five years relevant work experience preferably in manufacturing
WILL I NEED TO TRAVEL:
Travel is not required
