Salary Range : $7,049 – $9,165 Monthly
Grade : MCP.07.
The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety requires an experienced and forward thinking individual for this provincial position to provide leadership for mental health and addiction services in correctional facilities (youth and adult) and consultation to community corrections offices.

The successful candidate will have expert knowledge in mental health and addiction services and preferably experience working in a correctional setting. That candidate will have the demonstrated ability to:

develop and implement strategies consistent with organizational objectives;
work collaboratively with others towards strategic goals;

Reporting to the Director of Health, Mental Health and Addictions Services, you will direct and ensure the continued development and implementation of a mental health and addictions plan for adults and youth in custody. You will be responsible to review evidence-based practice, anticipate and plan for future needs, develop and implement provincial standards, policies and programs as well as undertake quality assurance related tasks for all aspects of mental health and addiction services.

You will provide expert knowledge and advice in mental health and addiction services and the rehabilitation of offenders. You will research and analyze submissions for budget development; supervise/conduct qualitative and quantitative evaluations of programs; make recommendations for changes to service delivery, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
