Birkbeck’s Wellbeing Services are seeking mental health professionals including specialist social workers with experience of working with clients in secondary and tertiary care settings and/or social services to join their Mental Health Advisory Service as Mental Health Advisor(s). Part time work will be considered. The post holder will work collaboratively with internal and external professionals to develop and deliver a range of high-quality interventions and services throughout the academic year, primarily but not exclusively to students with known or suspected mental health conditions and autism. The purpose of this work is to facilitate equal opportunities, student engagement and full participation in academic studies and the university experience to enable students to fulfil their potential whilst staying well.
This opportunity would build on experience as: Mental Health Nurse, Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, DBT Therapist, CBT Therapist, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive behaviour therapist, Mental Health Social Worker, Mental Health Advisor, Counsellor, Therapist.
Succesful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
This is a full time role, working 35 hours per week, Mondy to Friday, 10am to 6pm, and is a fixed term position for two years.
Remuneration
Grade 7 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £40,348 rising to £46,118 per annum.
The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
