About the opportunity

The Middle East is undergoing a significant transformation to support wellbeing, land regeneration and climate action while also driving infrastructure efficiency and economic diversification.

Jacobs is actively partnering with our clients to deliver support this change through strategic advisory, city and regional scale land planning, environmental planning and assessment and digital delivery.

Your impact

Within the Jacobs Environmental Services Market, your role will be to:

  • Always represent Jacobs culture and mission.
  • Support technical inputs or lead technical delivery of Jacobs projects (e.g. specialist studies, EIAs, Management Plans, urban plans, strategic reporting).
  • Collaborate with or manage local and global experts or suppliers to ensure Jacobs best provides best practice solutions to our clients.
  • Prepare and deliver high quality reports and presentations to clients technical and senior leadership in line with Jacobs quality process.
  • Understand and promote Jacobs solutions and technologies to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel, when required within region to attend client or team workshops, presentations or conduct site reconnaissance.
  • The role will be predominantly office based, but periodic field assignments may be required.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
Here’s what you’ll need

  • As a successful candidate, you will have a at a minimum an undergraduate degree (post graduate level preferred) in the field of Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Sustainability, or Urban Planning. Specialization in fields like ecology, noise/air/marine modelling, environmental data management, sustainable and/or regenerative design, natural resource management and decarbonization are preferred.
  • 8-15 years (depending on the role) of practical experience in delivering and and/or advising in services related to environmental planning and assessment, strategic reporting, specialist studies, or digital solutions deployment.
  • Strong organization skills are required. Technical writing and communication skills in English are essential and Arabic is highly regarded.
  • Demonstratable commitment to continuous development and active engagement in professional networks (IEMA or equivalent chartered status is preferred), company communities of practice groups or similar.
