Project Engineer

My client is one of the most respected and highly sought after utilities contractors in the industry, with a long term opportunity available for a Project Engineer based in Melbourne’s North or West. They have a secured pipeline of works in the capital and maintenance division of their business for a water authrotiy and as a result need a strong Project Engineer to join their team.
As a Project Egineer , you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards
- Lead and manage project teams, including contractors and sub-contractors
- Manage project change orders and variations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in project engineer, with experience in the water utilities industry preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
