Business

  • The role is linked to the successful execution of the launch of the CCIB Branch in Egypt. The role will support the Programme in the setting up of SCB branch in Egypt and ensure the successful delivery of the programme ancillary outcomes. The role includes Programme management from initiation to implementation, encompassing schedule, scope, cost, risks, and issues management perspectives for Client Coverage, Risk, CFCC and Surveillance. In addition to owning and monitoring the programme plan, adapting to any evolving risk and issues whilst maximising the quality of the programme deliverables.
  • This role will work closely with the overall Programme Manager and stakeholders from CCIB and Functions to deliver this and other related outcomes.

The role holder will have to ensure all aspects of the Programme are planned, coordinated, and executed in a timely and controlled manner.

  • Tracks realisation of benefits and business value, finances, risks/ issues, and co-ordinates dependencies on resources outside of the programme such as legal, compliance, operational risk, etc.
  • Supports Programme Owner to build a viable business case with an efficient delivery structure in conjunction with Delivery Owner, Delivery Leads and Product Owners.
  • Administers governance and financial reporting on behalf of Agile Teams, including administration of Clarity, preparing, and reporting to PSC.
  • Ensures the Programme and Initiatives comply with Agile ‘components’ in nWOW (new ways of working) Standards and Project Governance Policy. The Programme Manager ensures staff working on the Initiatives are aware and comply.
  • Liaises with Scrum Masters to identify and mitigate Agile Impediments which may impair delivery. Reports major impediments as risks and issues at Programme level.
  • Collaborates with Programme Owner and Product Owners to re-plan and prioritise Initiatives based on business value and assess impact on cost and benefit.
  • Aligns with Delivery Owner, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure Agile Metrics are captured and reported correctly across Programme.
  • Transitions and hands over the Programme to BAU as well as implementing the Programme closure procedure.
  • Coordinate and work with the Project and Technology leads to support the delivery of the CCIB launch plan in a safe and well-controlled manner and on an end-to-end basis – incorporating infrastructure requirements and building a business that is fit-for-growth
  • Support the deployment of technology infrastructure for CCIB and ensures that this satisfies the needs of the business and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with Programme Owner and Product Owners to re-plan and prioritize Initiatives based on business value and assess impact on cost and benefit.
  • Supports the Programme Manager in transitioning the business-related aspects to BAU, especially those processes which are client-impacting.
  • Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes, and regulations among employees
  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder’s attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate escalation to Group/governance committees, as appropriate

Governance

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Programme’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight & controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which both the Group and the Programme operate, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge senior Programme stakeholders effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.
