Microsoft, through the Emiratization Program ‘Tomoh’, is committed to supporting and accelerating Emirati employability through internships, on-the-job trainings, direct hiring and digital skilling program opportunities.

Tomoh offers a comprehensive nine-month training program that offers globally recognized Microsoft technical and professional certifications, and on-the-job training to include mentoring, coaching, job shadowing and real-life scenario assignments.

Tomoh targets top Emirati students with preference to candidates with a science, technology or engineering background.

We are looking for Emirati candidates that have the following qualities:

Responsibilities

The 9 months program begins August, 2023 of which two weeks will be onboarding, and the remaining duration will be for on-the-job training:

Onboarding & Skilling:

  • Onboarding and introduction to Microsoft’s mission, culture, strategy & structure.
  • Technical skilling to obtain globally recognized MS Fundamentals.
  • Professional and soft skilling courses & internationally recognized certifications in project management, change management, effective interpersonal skills, creativity and innovation, time management, alongside a set of other professional skills required by the job market.

On-the-job training:

  • Join a specific department in Microsoft for on-the-job shadowing and training.
  • Mentorship and coaching sessions.
  • Support Microsoft teams in digital transformation projects.
  • Advanced technology training courses include AI, Machine Learning & Cloud Computing.
  • Work with the team to accelerate Customer value, digital transformation and production level consumption that are relevant to their industry, aligning to their business outcomes and driving Customer satisfaction.
  • Work across Microsoft technology teams to bring any specialist resources to support customer projects.
  • Acquire good technology skills (broadly) and especially on Microsoft platform and applications to be able to articulate Microsoft solution value.
  • Participate in Microsoft Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

Roles during the On-the-job training phase include:

  • Account Technology Strategist
  • Account Executive
  • Technology Sales


Qualifications

  • UAE National Passport & Family Book.
  • Student in final academic year or a recent graduate within 6 months of graduation date.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant.
  • Passion for education and understanding the industry.
  • Passionate about a career in Technology.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Seeks opportunities to learn new methods, procedures or techniques.
  • Ability to commute between the Microsoft offices as required across the UAE.
  • Ability to understand the relationship between technology and business.
Soft Skills:
  • Interpersonal skills, communication, cross-culture collaboration and customer facing skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
