Background:
Mezzino Student Living manages over 4,000 beds across 15 UK-wide and Irish locations. In Ireland we currently manage ‘Highfield House’ and ‘Brickworks’ in Dublin, The Westwood in Galway with our newest properties ‘Coleman Court’ in Cork and ‘Stoneybatter Place’ in Dublin opening in 2023.
Stoneybatter Place’s 136 modern ensuite bedrooms and 6 studios will all have Ultrafast WIFI throughout with residents having access to private gym, cinema room, study rooms, resident lounge and roof terraces.
We now require a dynamic & confident Residence Manager to join our pre-opening team with responsibility for managing this exciting development.
During the academic year Stoneybatter Place will be occupied by students attending various nearby Colleges and Universities and over the Summer months will operate as a quality hospitality business providing overnight accommodation for holiday makers, leisure guests, long stay student residents, attendees at University conferences and tour groups.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly in to the Director of Operations for Ireland you will be responsible for maximising occupancy levels, maintaining operational efficiency of the site and maximising resident satisfaction and engagement.
You will have specific responsibility for:
- Managing accommodation lettings for both Summer and Academic year.
- Recruiting and managing on-site team.
- Liaising with the student residents, their parents, university personnel and external contractors.
- Ensuring high standards of accommodation are maintained at all times.
- Delivering a customer focused offering and achieving high levels of guest satisfaction throughout the year.
- Maintaining a safe and secure living and working environment for all.
You will be a self-starter, well-organised and able to think on your feet with strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will likely hold a Level 8 Qualification in Business, Property Management or Hospitality and / or previous relevant management experience within the student accommodation / hospitality sector.
Working Hours:
- October: to April: 40 hour, primarily standard office hours with few exceptions
- May to September: 40 hour, 5 day working week, some flexibility is required in terms of scheduling of working hours and weekend work will be required.
