Summary
Researches, plans and designs mechanical and electromechanical products and directs activities for prototype, fabrication, operation, application, installation and repair of mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, Medallion design specifications, requirements and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Manage new product launches from ideation through production.
- Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Design injection molded parts for electronic assembly using best practices.
- Use CREO CAD software and Design for Manufacturing principles to design plastic and mechanical parts.
- Build prototypes and samples using FDM machines.
- Perform FMEA studies to assure products meet customer and Medallion operational performance and service life standards.
- Perform product Worst Case Design Analysis to assess the theoretical product capability to perform under various conditions.
- Develop, perform or direct design verification and validation test specifications. Assess and publish test results to staff members and facilitate corrective action when necessary.
- Generate and maintain documentation to support the mechanical design, including but not limited to Bill of Materials, assembly prints, ISO documentation and other related schedules.
- Direct activities in the validation lab.
- Implement drawing and Bill of Materials changes for engineering reports.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME) from four-year college or university and five or more years of experience in the design and manufacture of mechanical products; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients or customers.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software and CAD Software CREO with the add on of Windchill.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
