Senior Project Engineer

My client is a leading international heavy civil contractor running a number of key infrastructure projects around Australia valued in the billions. In order for these projects to be a success there is a need to recruit top talent from around the world and as such they are now searching for a number of Senior Project Engineers.

As senior project engineer you will be a key component in the planning and successful delivery of civil works throughout the project. You will work closely with senior managers and have a number of reports including site engineers, subcontractors and crew. You will be responsible for the technical matters associated with the delivery of works and our experience will see you recognizing problems and using your experience to come up with workable solutions. Other aspects of the role will include preparing schedules, ensuring compliance to code, QA/QC policies and regular reporting of budgets and project status.

You will be a qualified engineer with a minimum of 7 years’ experience, ideally with tunneling, drilling & blasting, grouting or heavy civil experience that includes large concrete and marine works. Other requirements include,

• An engineering degree or equivalent such as diploma or NVQ
• High levels of competency in interpreting technical schedules and documents
• A positive and driven approach to work aligned with problem solving skills
• Good managerial skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An aspiration to develop and further your career
