About the team
Our Northern Network Operations business are responsible for managing the maintenance and reliability of our rail network, ensuring it is safe and reliable for the people of Queensland.
This position is based at our Mackay depot and sits within the Wayside Systems team consisting of 4 Signal Electricians and 4 Mechanical Systems Maintainers, working closely to cover the region from Kalarka to Bloomsbury (1 hour north and 2 hours south of Mackay)
About the role
- Install, maintain and fault finding /repair of signalling equipment
- Attend signalling failures to analyse, repair and report on cause of signal failures
- Maintain records and associated documentation relating to asset renewal programs and costing systems
- Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment performance and condition irregularities

We are looking for
- Certificate IV Electrical Railway Signalling
- Queensland Electrical Fitter and Mechanic Licence
- Drivers Licence
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Hours
- The team work Monday to Friday with every second Friday off (3 day weekend)
- On call 1 week in three (not over the long weekend)
