Villari Foods is seeking a Stock Room Attendant. This individual will be responsible for managing sufficient stock supplies for the organization. This individual will oversee the purchases and sales of goods and ensure the organization does not fall short of the required stocks.

 


Job duties:

  • Communicate with management, coworkers, and vendors in orders, exchanging, receiving, or issuing parts, supplies, or tools
  • Addresses questions from mechanics and vendors regarding parts
  • Organize maintenance parts inventory and ensure parts are properly identified and stored
  • Store stock items in bins or shelves
  • Operate forklift or dolly as needed to properly move or store parts
  • Control and maintain adequate inventories of maintenance parts and supplies as directed by the maintenance manager
  • Monitor and control the disbursement of parts to mechanics
  • Reorder maintenance parts and supplies as needed based on the minimum/maximum settings in the computerized maintenance management system or direction by the maintenance manager or maintenance supervisor
  • Perform regular cycle counts to ensure that record of on-hand quantities in the maintenance management system is accurate
  • Under direction, adds or deletes parts from inventory and reorganize parts room as plant equipment changes
  • Generate reports on stockroom activities to include parts disbursements, stock outages, and inventory costs
  • Maintains overall organization and cleanliness of the parts room.

To qualify for this job you must have:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to solve practical problems; including the ability to interpret instructions/manuals
  • Proficient use of a calculator
  • Physical requirements as outlined below

We’d also love it if you:

  • Have a basic understanding and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with inventory-specific software programs (we use COGZ)

  • The work environment will include cold temperatures between 50℉ to 10℉ (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals Villari does provide cold-weather gear!
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • Able to drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Able to speak and hear for safety and productivity
  • Use scanners, tablets, radios, phones, and other warehouse machinery
  • Frequently required to stand, use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle, feel, reach and pull
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
