Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint 2 motivated individuals as Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners with Herefordshire Neighbourhood Community Mental Health Teams. They will join a local group of 3 qualified MHWBPs. Posts will be based with either the Ledbury or City Teams. This is an exciting new psychological practitioner role, created by Health Education England and NHS England and Improvement, to support the transformation of Adult Community Mental Health Services. Training for these posts is funded by the HEE at Band 4. On successful completion of the 12 month training, candidates will progress to a Band 5, full time, permanent, qualified position. Trainees will complete the course at Worcester University, whilst working on placement in a protected clinical environment, supervised by a psychologist or BABCP therapist.

MHWBPs are trained in a defined range of psychological competencies; on qualifying they will hold a one to one caseload; co-facilitate our local group programmes and offer a range of psychoeducational workshops. The focus will be on working with people with mild/moderate clinical presentations.

NB: Candidates will not be eligible to apply for any HEE funded training within 2 years of completing this course.

Full details of the course is available on the Worcester University website link attached.
