Welding Engineer for Oil & Gas Company in Oman

Job Description

On behalf of the Client, an oil & gas company based in Oman, we are looking for a resourceful Welding Engineer. 

Responsibilities:

• To provide welding engineering, metallurgy and non-destructive testing expertise across the different Projects managed by the Major Project Division.
• To implement the Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes.
• To assist Projects in the execution of the FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, transportation and offshore installation works.
• To interface with Engineering and Construction Department with the Technical Reference Person (TRP) for the management of Derogation impacting Technical Referential.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in welding – ESSA / IWE / EWE certifications also required.
• At least 10 years of Professional Experience in a similar position.
•  At least 5 years of experience associated with Piping and Structural works.
• A good knowledge of international codes/standards related to Piping & Structural design, fabrication and inspection.
• Expert command of English
