The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an Engagement Officer to join the team on a full-time continuing basis. In this role, you will be working with Events and Projects representing Career Connect to the larger University Community. Reporting to the Manager of Student Leadership Development the role will be providing a high level of event coordination, administrative and digital communications support to the department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, implementing and managing a range of complex administrative tasks to support the development of Career Connect events
  • Organising marketing and communications content across digital channels for Career Connect
  • Undertaking the collection, input and analysis of data to develop reports that communicate the reach and impact of the events and activities delivered by Career Connect
  • Building and sustaining effective working relationships with an extensive network of internal and external contacts

This position is suited to a person with initiative and creative problem-solving skills, with a degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in relevant administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

The successful candidate will ideally have high-level event management skills with demonstrated experience in designing and managing creative content in accordance with agreed standards, timeframes and budgets. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and information.
