About the Role

This is an exciting time for Wollondilly with a growing population and major projects in progress right across the Shire. We are looking for a passionate and creative individual to join Council’s Public Relations and Engagement Team to help us tell our story. The successful applicant will be someone who can build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders, write clear, meaningful copy, and use their creative flair in the digital space. You will be responsible for providing up to date, informative communications to both internal and external audiences and inviting opportunities for the community to participate in Council’s decision-making processes. You will be supporting Council’s Infrastructure Projects and Infrastructure Operations teams to effectively promote and celebrate their many milestones and achievements.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

  • Degree qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences, or equivalent and/or extensive relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement facilitation, management, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications and engagement strategies and delivering innovative solutions to complex and wide-ranging issues and/or opportunities.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
