Carbon60 are excited to be representing a leading Renewable Energy Developer and support the hiring of an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.The project is in the early stages of development and is expected to provide power to millions of homes.This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a proven Electrical Engineer, please see further details below.
Electrical Engineer – Offshore Wind
Role – Electrical Engineer Location – Home Based with occasional travel to Scotland Office Start Date – ASAP Duration – 12 Months + possible extension Rates – £650 – £700 Daily Rate via Umbrella (Inside IR35)
The successful candidate will ideally be a Power System Engineer with a background in offshore wind farm connections
Requirements:
- BSc or similar in Electrical Engineering
- Strong understanding of Electrical & Site Safety
- Experience with Offshore Wind Projects
- Full UK Right to Work
- Must be prepared to go through standard background checks
- Ideally based in Scotland
Other key attributes are:
- Required to have a strong understanding in dynamic modelling and wind farm control
- Required to have experience in stakeholder management of NG ESO, consultants and contractors
- Experience of non-conformance with grid code compliance issues an advantage
