Carbon60 are excited to be representing a leading Renewable Energy Developer and support the hiring of an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.The project is in the early stages of development and is expected to provide power to millions of homes.This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a proven Electrical Engineer, please see further details below.

Electrical Engineer – Offshore Wind

Role – Electrical Engineer Location – Home Based with occasional travel to Scotland Office Start Date – ASAP Duration – 12 Months + possible extension Rates – £650 – £700 Daily Rate via Umbrella (Inside IR35)

The successful candidate will ideally be a Power System Engineer with a background in offshore wind farm connections

Requirements:

 

  • BSc or similar in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong understanding of Electrical & Site Safety
  • Experience with Offshore Wind Projects
  • Full UK Right to Work
  • Must be prepared to go through standard background checks
  • Ideally based in Scotland

 

Other key attributes are:

 

  • Required to have a strong understanding in dynamic modelling and wind farm control
  • Required to have experience in stakeholder management of NG ESO, consultants and contractors
  • Experience of non-conformance with grid code compliance issues an advantage
