Job Purpose
Contribute to the delivery of planned, programmed and contracted street lighting operations across the Ayrshire Roads Alliance boundary and beyond ensuring the provision of electrical and technical supports for the installation, maintenance and repair of lighting systems in order to assist with the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in relation to those identified within the Ayrshire Roads Alliance Service Plan and the Community Plan.

Ayrshire Roads Alliance are seeking to employ 2 full time permanent Street Lighting Electricians working within East and South Ayrshire based at Gauchalland Roads Depot, Ayr Road, Galston, Ayrshire.
In this role you will provide both installation and maintenance services for public lighting installations and other electrical street furniture. We offer a competitive salary, employee benefits, training and opportunities for overtime.
You will be a time served electrician and hold a relevant ECS or CSCS (health and safety) qualification and an EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation to BS 7671 as well as a working knowledge of the current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671 18th Edition). Appropriate training will be provided.
A current driving licence including Category C1+E is essential.
Hours of work are 7.30am – 3.30pm Monday – Thursday & 7.30am – 3pm Friday
Annual Salary £31,650 – £34,401 (£16.45 – £17.88 per hour)
You will be required to participate in a stand-by rota, which is expected to be 1 in 6
