This Front End Developer will manage local standalone applications for market initiatives which will in turn improve performance of the Nespresso US eCommerce responsive site. This person will liaise with another local front end developer as well as between the US market and Headquarters in Switzerland (often through peer-programming) for all technical eCommerce projects. These projects will be tied to Nespresso global roadmap, local initiatives, and daily operations. As a member of the eCommerce Operations team within the Commercial division, this person will report to the Site Operations Manager and work alongside a growing team – currently 4 Content Producers and 1 Front End Developer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with teams to solve for major issue affecting conversion rate, new member activation, or availability of the products or the platforms
  • Execute on local initiatives as defined by the eCommerce roadmap in collaboration with cross functional stakeholders (Marketing, CRM, IS/IT, CRC) when necessary
  • Understand local Market Acceptance Testing (MAT) process and contribute to ways to streamline and find efficiencies
  • Contribute to a growing team, ways of working and knowledge share across
  • Advise on technical local landing page development (HTML, CSS, JS), ensuring all Nespresso design and technical guidelines are followed by local design-development agency, are ADA compliant and in line with industry best practices (knowledge of responsive frameworks and designs)
  • Experience using one or more advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as React, Vue or Angular (React Preferred)
  • Familiarity with node applications and build tools such as webpack or rollup.
  • Understand basic server responses, network request (HTML), CSS and pre-processors (i.e. SASS), JS, (ES6+)
  • Drive development of A/B test implementations in Google Optimize, as defined by eCom Analyst and User Experience & Operations Manager. Collaborating with HQ when necessary to successfully launch tests with the objective of improving the customer site experience.
  • Collaborate with Content Producer on content publication as needed
  • Identify unrealized opportunities / risks as part of all key roll-outs and launches
  • Manage quality assurance and usability
  • Ensure a fast, updated, bug free user experience on all eCommerce platforms, following International eBusiness guidelines
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript to develop workaround for master site. Flag any risks associated with local workarounds and/or “hacks”
  • Implement best practices for setting up applications that adhere to performance standards

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree, strongly preferred or equivalent work experience of 4+ years as Front End Developer required.
  • 2+ years of experience in eCommerce platforms and content management systems (SAP Hybris preferred), including app, required
  • 2+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • 2+ years of experience in eMerchandising, A/B testing & personalization preferred
  • Experience in SEO optimization a plus
  • Exposure to Google Analytics
  • Strong communication and project management skills required

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000.Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
