.POSITION DUTIES:

  • Applies sound engineering principals and standards to utility substation or transmission line designs
  • Assures all project deliverables meet the technical requirements of the project
  • Assists in the performance of the quality review of all project documents and make sure all project quality reviews adhere to company QA/QC practices and procedures
  • Assists in the preparation of specifications and material lists
  • Populate project change log throughout the project cycle with adequate out-of-scope descriptions and hours associated with the additional work
  • Populate the project RFI log throughout the project cycle and follow-up on information required within the log
  • Work with Supervising Engineers and Project Managers to make sure projects are completed on schedule and within project budget
  • Assists with performing Project Close-Out and As-Built revisions
  • Visits construction sites with Project Engineer to inspect work in progress or completed, as required by client
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project Engineer

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Civil or Structural engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • This is an entry level position, an internship in engineering substations or transmission lines is preferred
  • Fundamentals of Engineering exam passed, or ability to take the exam within 1 year is preferred

Candidates will be placed in the appropriate job title based on education, years of experience and industry knowledge.
