Job Description
You will work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, General Manager, Regional Office, and your team to set up, establish and drive the hotels’ financial performance and create results by maximizing efforts with innovative marketing and communication ideas. You will develop rapports with key media and international media agencies. You will be responsible to build and develop the hotels’ sales and marketing leadership in your geographic assignment. Through your effective management, passion, and enthusiasm you will be able to successfully inspire and coach your team and ensure marketing brand standards are fully respected. You would also oversee the implementation of marketing and PR strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions as well as monitor competitor marketing and PR activities. With the growing importance of social media, the responsibility for monitoring and implementation lies with his role. We would like you to establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners as well as to maintain a consistent brand image throughout all sales, PR, marketing, and MarCom activities. Lastly, you would oversee the implementation of the brand strategy and brand standards at a hotel level and implements corrective measures if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

 

Manage, develop, and implement a marketing and communications strategy by property for the Hotels & Resorts located in the assigned region

Manage all brand, advertising, and marketing, creative and media buying

Ensure all Marketing collaterals are as per brand standards and audits are conducted regularly across the resort including rooms, dining venues, spa, leisure facilities, meeting and event spaces, in-room TV, and digital screens.

Maintain and direct all third-party related agencies as per the hotels and resorts’ requirements

Manage an effective e-Communications and social media strategy to support the overall business objectives

Identify potential sponsorship and promotional opportunities for each property and manage the strategic business alliances and relationships

Monitor industry trends and keep senior managers appraised of brand perceptions and any potential issues that would hurt the business

Liaise and meet regularly with individual property General Managers and Department Heads to ensure that all specific requirements for marketing related work are managed

Effectively communicates with all levels, manages reports

A strong leader, who can articulate a vision and translate it to reality

Brand ambassador

Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, the hotel marketing plan and business plan, and financial plans.

Create and implement PR plans and set budgets that help promote room, food & beverage, and spa

Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, for liaison with media, writing of press material, writing of internal communications, marketing copywriting, and proofreading.

Ensure dispatch and a strong influx of relevant information to the key media

Pitch stories to the Maison to English and Arabic titles and develop PR coverage reports every month

Manage media inquiries and interview requests

Coordinate photoshoots, promotional videos, and any type of event that has to do with the communication and/or publicity of the hotel.

Be the guardian of the hotel’s social media platforms

Develop social media campaigns to help achieve social media exposure and to drive followers

Develop and plan social media calendar, post daily feed for hotel’s social media channels per hotel’s brand standard

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree equivalent International degree in Marketing, Business or Commerce MBA
  • 5+ years of international marketing and communications experience
  • Previous experience as Marketing Communications Manager in a luxurious hotel brand or agency background
